Laura’s parents treated us to dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse for our anniversary. I had pork chops and asked for coarse horseradish. Received phone calls from both kids today. It was a good Father’s Day.

Ever since our children were tots, our family has had a late breakfast/early lunch of pancakes on Christmas Day. For Mother’s Day I unpacked this studio portrait of Esther, taken sometime in the 1940’s. I’m guessing it was when she lived in the Washington D.C. area while my father was at Ft.
