(no subject)
A brief update:
Even though Luigi is in quarentine, Coconut can still hear him and suddenly she is a total velcro bird and I am her favorite person. She refuses to be pried off of me by G, her former favorite person. Do I sense some sibling rivalry?
Dadga the beardie had his surgery today. Overall his vet care has cost over $500 but it's done and we still have bill money. Mostly. G is picking up some work this weekend for cash so that's nice. Dag's foot looks...pretty gruesome, but I guess that's what an amputation looks like! He is on pain meds and antibiotics for another week. Stitches to be removed in 21 days (which seems like a really long time!)
Luigi is an amazing bird. I am so glad he came into my life. He's sweet and tame and well mannered. He doesn't rush at my face when I eat a brownie in his presence - with the other birds I'd be fending them off. He mimicks all kinds of noises he only just learned - the squeaking of clean glass from when G cleaned the beardie tank, the sound of the microwave, the sound of the door creaking. So I guess my love life will be kind of uneventful for the duration of his quarantine. ::wink wink, nudge nudge::
