I didn't have to start work until 4:45 PM today. (That's the dinner shift, for the chronologically impaired amongst you.) John didn't have to work, either. So, we needed something to do for a while. What did we do? We drove to Virginia.
Well, -I- drove to Virginia, whilst John kept passing out in the passenger seat. The entire point of this excursion was so that John could buy a beer in a gas station (since apparently you can do that in almost every state except for Pennsylvania), and so I could get one of those "Why The South Won"-crap books. Unfortunately, they didn't have any in the places we stopped. (Those books sound so stupid, that I just HAVE to read one of them!)
In any case, I've now driven through Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia. Whoo! The list increases! I have off on Monday, so we're going to see how much further south we can go. Or west. We haven't quite decided yet.
In any case, we're going to keep playing "Highway To Hell" while driving 85mph down the interstate... or turnpike, depending on our destination.
We took pictures along the drive, if anyone's interested! (Which you're probably not--but I've never randomly driven through other states before, so I'm still excited about it.)
