I'd even go so far as to say I passed it well. Which isn't surprising in a sense, since if it wasn't for the time lost from the injury, I would have tested 6 months ago. Still, not bad at all really. Usually when you test with someone at a higher level then you (I was the only one going for green belt) they only make you do the technique on the right side, but, for whatever reason, I had to do both sides, all techniques were announced by their Japanese title (usually it's in English until your first brown belt test at 3rd Kyu) and the pace was fucking brutal. I was expecting, you know, not insane.
Still, I passed, I passed well, I'm pleased. I will just add that I have never given or received techniques that hard in my life, and I am beaten and sore today past anything I've felt in years. Cheesy line ahead, but that ache feels like victory.
