Just a quick announcement, it's finally confirmed that the new motherboard I got was in fact defective, and that's what caused my intermittent posting/booting issues. New one is one the way but as such I'll be slow to get ahold of online for the next few days, so, don't worry, I'm not ignoring you (unless I actually am, but that's different) I just can only check things at work for a little bit.
So yeah, that's it, it was the motherboard. All will soon be well.
