I woke up this morning thinking “OMG! ALARM!!” then, “oh! It’s Jimmy!” Then, “yeah, I wouldn’t have an alarm set for 10, let alone Tuesday,” then answered my phone. I found out it was snowing in Eugene this morning…which wasn’t a surprise after hearing about it at some point last night while watching the Olympics…I just didn’t know where around here it would snow. Yeah, no snow in Corvallis.
Speaking of the Olympics, I was surprised at how much I found it interesting this year…as in wanting to watch it. Made it difficult to finish my physics.
So now I’m in the SLUG working on my first chemistry lab report of the term…sixth week in :P I was having difficulties making my graph…I needed to shift one up and couldn’t get it to do it. So after about 90 minutes of trying things, and poking around in the help section, I added in the shift by hand and now I’m ready to analyze the data and write the lab report…2 hours after I started. Ugh.
There were other things I wanted to type yesterday. For example, I went to my first OSU sports game: women’s basketball. And funnily enough, I didn’t find watching the game as exciting as those at Lakes. I did enjoy listening to the pep band, and sitting with Kenny and Leeann as we got scolded about being so negative. Then Leeann ended up leaving early before she got negative. And considering the personalities, Kenny groaned whenever there was a time out while I cheered.
Oh, looks like we received Eugene’s weather system: 2:06 pm, it’s snowing. I’d go frolic, but that means packing up my stuff. Heavy and wet snow, but still, it’s snow. What a calming sight :) 2:18: now it’s rain.
This chemistry lab is taking a long time. By the way, I came down here at 11. Had three people occupy the computer next to me while I’ve been working on this.
2:48: sunshine, blue sky, little thin clouds, no precipitation. No section on the lab done, but there’s writing in each section, and I’m waiting for clarification from Eddie on quite a bit of stuff, who should currently be with the Tuesday section of the lab. I plan on moving on to physics after I finish the intro/theory section of the lab (what Eddie claimed to be the most difficult part). And I plan on leaving at 4 at the latest to call Toshiba and drop in at the McNary UHC office before dinner. My cell phone is low on battery so it’s off…hopefully it’ll live through the call. I’d charge it but I don’t see a nearby outlet.
3:00: clear sky.
So I had a dream last night…part of it was at karate, where Kenny was having difficulty trusting Nicole because Nicole had said something that really hurt her. Not Nicole Gomes (Faith/Nik), which, I was trying to think of this Nicole’s last name all day to complete this clarification. I had a very difficult time shoving “Duffy” out of my head. Hilger. Nicole Hilger.
3:42: My head is buzzing from staring at a computer screen for almost 4 hours. Chem lab not even near done…so I’ll be back here…possible tonight, definitely tomorrow, and maybe even Thursday morning. It was lovely talking to everyone that dropped me an im while I was on express when I couldn’t watch the buddy list window while doing my work :) I will definitely be doing this more often.
In the meantime, I’m gone.
3:45: all grey.
