Long Time, No Type?

Well, yes, until now. I've been rather aboot with business the past few weeks. However, I feel that this week is to be a good one. Traveling league was quasi-well (oh look, I used a hyphen this time... >.<), as I shot my high game of the current season (266) and made out quite well with a dovely 669 (though the last two games were mediocre at best, at least I was consistent). Even better was the fact that I only had the one open, though it was the tenth frame of the third game (honestly, who leaves an 8-9 split? I MUST be Polish). Oh well, I took that point by one pin (the second time this season that I won a point by a mere stick because my opponent could not get good count. Look at me luck out this year!), and total by about a spare and a half.

My statistics are almost entirely pleasing so far. Of course, the spare percentage MUST come up to above 70.00% real soon (68% is deathly unacceptable; I'm not that incompetent, damnit!), but alas, I can't complain with an almost-209 average. My only qualm is that out of 64 people (who have 12 or more games), that average ranks me 16th. It's sad that my so-far good run is only 75th-percentile quality. I'd like to be in the top ten, so it's another goal to strive for (along with keeping the average above 205). Aside from that, no whining here: 17 - 7 point record and a 5 - 1 match record. It's a pity they got rid of the most points list (because of the dishonesty of others; damned stat-fluffers), because I'm sure I'd be in the top ten with that.

Speaking of my rank in a group, I think I whooped ass on the Physical Chemistry exam. Mayhaps I got the best score on it, which would put a little snap in the curve, I'd imagine. Bet we get those back tomorrow, along with a pre-emptive quiz! Honestly, I need a good test grade to make effective use of the drop grade. The last exam was above average, but a 60 isn't that great, especially when the professor decides to grade everyone harshly because the majority can't do basic calculus. I hate when stupidity causes an all-or-nothing situation, because instead of losing 5 points, my head goes under the axe for the full 20. I think that's why I want to have the high test score this time, as a sort of convoluted revenge. Purgatory, it'd raise my test average from a 75 (90 + 60) to a 95 (90 + 100, at best). That would basically guarantee an A in that class, which would almost guarantee me a 4.0 this semester (and how that would be just lovely, to raise my cumulative and major GPAs).

The Biochemistry exam I'm not worried about. DNA is usually a good topic for me, and I wasn't sure of the answer on only a couple of questions (one being short answer). The class as a whole did well on it, so I think I should be fine.

What else is there to ramble on about? Oh! Lab. This week, I only have one 3.5-hour session, and that's it for two weeks! All that glorious time will be mine (to work on my lab report due the 22nd >.<)! Meh, oh well, the semester's almost over.

For now, I believe that's about all. Comments appreciated, but not required. Have a good week-to-come, I guess. ^.^
