It's been a busy week and weekend, trying to make work profitable, working hard to make our new
lifestyle program a success and maintain a happy home. Wednesday, I spoke with my stepfather and he's slowly adjusting to an entirely new workplace, job and geography down in D.C. Mom will be joining him as early as March 1 after she finishes work one final project with her current employer - the last hurrah. I know she'll be glad to be moving on to a different career path and an exciting one at that.
My cat is sitting on my lap, cleaning herself and even though I do appreciate her affectionate "kisses," I often remind myself what else that tongue's been used for! *excuses himself to wash his hands and face* We had to punish her when we went to bed because she wouldn't stop attacking Marisa's feet. These attacks were of the pounce and bite variety, so she was placed in a room by herself. Now she's fine and dandy.
A long anticipated spaying awaits her on or before February 28. That day marks the 12th annual
Spay Day and discounts are available at participating clinics/offices on spays and neuters. I'm probably just paranoid, but I do want to use our camcorder to record her personality typical behavior before the surgery in case there is a noticeable difference afterward. Despite what I am told, I suspect spaying could have a significant impact on her currently mostly wonderful personality (see biting reference above).
Well, I'm off to finish catching up on my email.
