On July 9, I turned 27. I got a text from David in the morning, asking if I wanted to do lunch and if there were any nice restaurants in close proximity of my office. It's possible, but I doubt it, because ultimately anyone who is choosing between a man who will only be with you if you let him sleep with other women, and a man who will only be with you if you lose yet MORE WEIGHT than you've already lost, is someone who does not value herself enough to see how ridiculous that is.

Imagine if you will, if you stepped back from both of these men and realized that life would certainly go on, that you didn't need either of them to validate you. That you could validate YOURSELF. It's very empowering.

Imagine feeling so empowered and realized that with or without a man you would be ok, a man does not make you important! You make yourself important!

And then imagine feeling so comfortable with just BEING YOU and not being "someone's girlfriend" that when you met a man who tried to suggest something ludicrous that you would just be like "I am WAY too good for that!"

Last, imagine in your future a man who is ALL ABOUT YOU, as you are, finds you sexy and attractive and ENOUGH.

How great does that sound?

It's either that, or this.
