The light in the bathroom is so bright that it burns him, reminds him of an interrogation room, and he wonders, oddly, in the middle of it, why they never interrogated him properly back then-why she never interrogated him; in the wake of her questions now, he feels more tortured than he ever felt on the other side of the glass.
“Tell me what to do,” he begs into her ear, lifting her up against the mirror. She answers, “slower” and “touch me,” and he obeys, without the heart to tell her that it isn’t exactly what he meant.
