Happy Christmas!

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! (or Happy Holidays to those who might not celebrate Christmas).

For those who are curious, my little vacation is going well. Things are interesting here at Brian's house since his mom is still not letting us sleep in the same bedroom since we're not married. . . yet we haven't seen each other in four months and we are planning to get married. *shrugs*

Well we got to Washington on Tuesday evening (around 7 p.m.) after an awesome drive from Crescent City. We had a nice small dinner while in Crescent City and then we got some needed sleep (even if the people above us were loud as hell when they woke up and thromping around their hotel room). We had a nice breakfast at the little inn that was across the lot and then we were off! We drove along the coast for a while then ended up cutting through the valley along a river to I-5. We went through downtown Portland -- it's a neat little city along the Columbia river and you can see Mount Hood from the city (and yes, MOUNTAIN. I now know what a mountain is according to Brian). So when we got to his mom's house we had a nice hot dinner and then I literally passed out. . . accidentally on Brian's bed. Apparently his mom threw a fit. . . whoops!

So Wednesday we met Brian's dad and brother Thomas in Olympia for coffee and chatted for a bit; Brian's brother is pretty cool (you can tell they're brothers -- they have the same attitude). It was also nice to catch up with Brian's dad since he's really cool.
Then we ventured to some random places (including the mall) to get last minute Christmas presents and then the courthouse to finalize our wedding plans. . . yay. Our little wedding thing is on Monday, with two of his best friends as our witnesses. Should be a good time. Then we came home, ate dinner, chillaxed and passed out again.

Yesterday was pretty fun; we woke up and tidied up the house, then got ready for Christmas eve dinner. Then, I met his entire family (mostly) on his mom's side of the family. They're pretty cool; it's nice not to be the youngest in the family actually now. It was good and fun company so it made the enjoyable experience. Since Brian and I are now attached, we got joint presents so that was pretty neat -- we got the Dark Knight and Jeff Dunham's Christmas Special on DVD, as well as we both got two $50 gift cerftificates to Amazon.com from his grandparents . . .pretty neat. His family was very welcoming so I'm happy they liked me. . . or so I think haha.

Today was pretty enjoyable as well, except for Brian's dog. His dog must have gotten sick or something because he didn't really move or eat yesterday and this morning he would vomit after drinking some water. . . he's moving around some more though. He's really old so I think his days are numbered. . .poor boy. But anyways, we waited for Thomas and his family to come over as well as Brian's dad and we opened presents. I even got my own stocking from his parents and his grandmother! (One normal stocking filled to the brim, and one huge gift bag for Brian and I overflowing with gifts). I got two gift cards for Charlotte Russe and two giftcards to Bath and Body Works; Brian got me a pretty nifty extreme weather calendar and a pair of diamond stud earrings :-) We may trade them in to get aquamarine ones because I already have a pair of studs that I always wear. ..so I teased him for not asking if I already had some haha. Then we went to Brian's dad's parents house (oma and opa) for lunch/dinner and that was neat because his grandmother is german. So I met everyone on his dad's side today. . . neat. I noticed this family is all about tile games. . . like all the siblings got extensions for "The Settlers of Catan" and we got some german tile game I'll get back to you on the name haha.

Anyways, tonight we're going to Seattle to pick up Brian's friend Keoni from the airport then probably going to hang out. I hope everyone had had a great holiday and break so far!
