Katara usually had no problems waking up in time for class-- despite the fact that her people were one with the moon and naturally preferred the night time and staying up late, she had trained herself over the years at Hogwarts to wake up near the break of dawn to prepare for her classes. Today, however, was a rare day in which her body refused to wake; even with her alarm clock on her nightstand demanding that she needed to get up and get dressed for breakfast and class, Katara only let out a halfhearted murmur and buried herself deeper into the fluffy comforter she had cocooned herself inside, her pillow drowning out the annoying wail of her clock.
She would later regret her decision to not listen to her alarm; a full half hour later, Katara jolted up in her bed after a quick glance to her clock, showing her that she only had half an hour to dress and eat before her first class of the day. She jumped out of bed and pulled on her uniform as fast as she could, trying to do a million things at once-- brush a comb through her hair, pull on her socks, arrange her brunette locks into its usual 'hair loopies', put on her tie and gather all her books.
Needless to say, the waterbender was quite flustered when she bounded down the steps of the castle and towards the Great Hall as fast as she could. Some of the books she didn't have time to properly stuff into her bag were now in a death grip in her hands, hugged tightly to her chest so as not to get in the way. It felt like her body was moving faster than her legs could carry her-- which might have played a large part in what happened next.
Without a warning, her footing was lost before she knew it, and while she had looked down to her feet to try and get everything right, Katara felt her forehead collide against something (or someone?), her books flying out of her arms and the contents of her bag spilling all over the place. Back onto her bottom she fell, though thankfully her hands caught her in time so that her head wouldn't crack against the hard stone floor.
Katara saw double for just a moment as her head tried to clear itself from the impact of the hit, a hand lifting to rub her brow where she was sure a welt would soon form with how hard she had collided against whatever she did.
"Ow..."
