Outside; aiming for the exploding cherry tree; Lil!Grell & Lil!Washu AND OPEN! aka_catherine October 10 2010, 05:07:50 UTC
Although she didn't understand what all the fuss was about these journal things were literally flooded with entries from fellow students and staff. None of that really mattered right now, as she currently raced towards the cherry tree. If she didn't get there first, Grell might secure all the fruit for himself!

Smiling, she could hardly hide her enthusiasm. This was already so much fun! Forcing every ounce of speed she could out of her short little legs she kept an eye out for her opponent/playmate. Grell had seemed hesitant to join her at first but by the end of their discussion he'd relented. For Washu, it was more about the company than the cherries but.. Grell didn't need to know that!

She just hoped, no nosey professors would interfere! Leaving the safety of the thick stone walls, she finally stepped foot on the soft earth outside the castle.

[ooc: Two small children, one cherry tree with explosive fruit that they believe to be regular cherries, Shenanigans ensue. Feel free to jump in!]

He was so lost and made another corner until he found that Great Hall again. Using his memory to remember which way was out, he ran past a few students and professors to make it outside.

Touching down on the ground outside the castle, he was greeted by that warm outside and ran towards the earthy part where hopefully there would be a cherry tree. He could see it within his sights and gave a happy little smile. They cherries looked delicious, but Grell was wary about eating them now.

Why had he made the mistake of mentioning that infernal cherry tree. If anything happened to Grell... normally that wouldn't be such a bad thing ... it would be Ciel's fault. He'd advised the kid not to go, but it seemed like Grell had been unconvinced.

Tch. Why did it even matter what happened to the brat... Deciding not to dwell on that query he instead cleared his mind of all other thoughts and cast the locater spell.

The wand spun in his hand, inevitably pointing in the direction that Ciel had feared it might. He would have much rather sent Sebastian in his stead but had been unable to contact him as of yet. Waiting would only exacerbate the situation. Rushing down the corridors he kept his eye on his wand for any changes.

Rounding the last corner, Washu could see Grell up ahead. "How did he manage to get so far ahead?!". It had sounded like the boy had no sense of direction in the journal, he must have caught a lucky break.

Employing some quick thinking, she grabbed a nearby fallen branch and charmed it to hover. It would have to do and take the place of a broom. Leaping on her newly acquired mount it wasn't long before she was beside the Slytherin boy.

Grinning broadly, she turned her head towards him, and tightly closed her eyes. The final touch was the V sign she flashed him with one hand.

Arms flailing at her sudden appearance he dropped all his books and laughed sheepishly, starting to pick them up into a neat little pile. Using both hands, his gloves were pushed back up onto his nose.

His added speed even as a child was something he was just able to do. His Feather called him his "special little one" and he was just thrilled to hear it each time.

He waved a bit back, poking his lip and leaning forwards, "Oh cool, you can do that already?!"

Sure enough the spell lead him outside, but that brat was no where in sight.. as of yet. This was more running than Ciel had done in a long time. Were kids always this hard to keep up with!? With another huff, he managed to keep up the pace. Really, he needed to learn how to apparate.. it could make life so much easier.

A few more feet and he caught sight of not just one puff of hair but two.

"Grell!" He called after the boy trying to distract him from his goals long enough to catch up. Now who was that other kid? Another professor turned shrimp?! "Profes-- Washu!! Both of you! Hold it right there!".

She couldn't help but giggle when Grell started laughing himself. Dropping his books didn't seem to slow him down a bit. "You bet I can!" Washu beamed. She was always quite proud of her accomplishments. To emphasize the point she stood up on top of the branch and rested her hands on her hips.

"See what else I can do!?" Her revelry was cut short when a third voice broke her concentration. Wobbling back and forth on the makeshift boom she let out a yelp and fell forward....

Towards Grell...

He squeaked at her braveness and the way she stood up so easily on it, until that third voice came up and Washu started falling over. He suddenly squeaked again when he realised just where she was falling and flailed a little on the spot, getting knocked down and toppled over onto, turing a slight bright red.

"C-crushing! Eeek. It's the scary boy voice from the books!" His little arms were still flailing with a girl on top of him, looking like a helpless fish out of water.

Ciel halted in his steps and looked away from the impending impact. At least, this actually was working to his advantage. While the children struggled to free themselves and get back up, he was able to close the gap between them.

"Scarey boy voice from the books.." Ciel muttered, wrinkling his nose a little. Towering over the kids he placed his hands on his hips and looked more than a little indignant.

"Going somewhere?". Glancing at the tree nearby he directed a pout at Grell, "I thought I warned you about this place". He sighed. "If you require a demonstration... then so be it..".

Something soft managed to break her fall. Unfortunately that something was the other student. She wanted to ask him, if he was all right but it was hard to get a word in edgewise with all his flailing! "Grel-- just-- It'll be-- Eep!".

Finally getting the mind to, Washu rolled off to one side at the earliest convenience. Her cheeks had also taken on a pink hue as she looked sheepishly to the ground. "I'm sorry about that but-- Hmm?". Grell had mentioned something about a "boy voice"? About that time a shadow was being cast over them.

Looking up she paled slightly, until she realized it was just an older kid and not a professor. "what did you do that for?! You made me fall!".

"A demonstration of what.....?" She pouted.

He was flat on his back for a while just staring at Ciel from his viewpoint and didn't move like he was frozen there or trapped there. The flailing had stopped at least when Washu rolled over and off him. He was tinted a little pink as well fron embarisment though he was more concerned the other would start yelling at him again.

He was the one that wanted him to go to this stupid tree anyways!

Curiousity perked, he squeaked, "Demonstration. No! Don't explode your head!!!!!!!"

It was hard getting over just how different this child version of Grell was from the older version. Perhaps his treatment of Grell should change accordingly. Washu on the other hand didn't seem all that different save for being a little whinier. Granted the two had rarely crossed paths before. Now that she was teaching the lower years again, they were bound to run into each other more often ( ... )

Resting on her hands and knees, Washu looked between the two as they spoke. "Is that what you're going to do?!". Was this new kid really going to make his head explode?! Her eyes lit up, glistening a little in the midday sun. "COOL!". It must be some kind of magic trick! If she studied it closely than she should be able to recreate it herself...

Unfortunately, he'd gone the safer route. Probably because Grell sounded so frightened by the prospect. Hmm~ He was a good kid but he needed to learn to live a little~!

Standing up, she dusted herself off and reached out a hand toward Grell,"You aren't going to stay down there all day are you?". She smiled. So the cherries really did explode... this gave a new meaning to the word cherry-bomb.

He sat up and watched for Ciel's head to explode but he instead picked up Washu's makeshift broom and poked one of the cherries. His eyes lit up with fascination at the gooey red exploding everywhere. "Wow!"

He blinked at her and took her hand, sitting up and like a proper english gentleman he went about dusting himself off and keeping his robes clean.

Except the young red head was too interested for his own good and picked up a rock, aiming for the cherry and tossing it at it. When it exploded, his eyes darted around for another rock!

Wow, was not necessarily the reaction the older Slytherin was going for. Wow sounded too much like -wow, let's do that again!-. These kid's were supposed to be discouraged from remaining here, not encouraged ( ... )

While she was busy contemplating the safest way to gather these cherries and use them to play tricks on people, Grell had already started throwing rocks at some of the other fruits. "That looks like fun!" She beamed, grabbing a handful of tiny pebbles for herself.

Even after Ciel was warning them to run, she carelessly threw the whole handful at once. This was an experiment~. Let's see what these babies can really do! In theory she knew what to expect, but she wanted to see it for herself!

Ducking behind both Ciel and Grell she tried to peek around them to watch the chaos. Explosions~ were like an old friend.. for some reason. Hmm.
