WHO: Keri, Sieglinde LOCATION: Slytherin Common Rooms to the Kitchens WEEK: 65 TIME: Midday sometime WHAT: Keri decides Sieg needs some cheering up RATING: G-PG!
"I think I'll survive," Sieglinde drawled, shutting her journal sharply and setting it atop her pillow with a sigh. She swung her legs for a while, and then stood up, brushing imaginary lint off of her skirt and looking up at Keri, face carefully blank.
"You think, but are you certain? I wouldn't want you to abruptly collapse, or anything." Keri asked, an easy show of concern spreading across her face as she leaned forward and snagged the younger girl's hand, practically dragging her out of the room and taking the stairs two at a time. It was hardly a kidnapping if there wasn't at least a little frenzy involved, after all.
"There was no lint on your skirt, by the way," she pointed out as they left the Common Room. "Also, you are actually allowed to wear an expression, I promise. And I wouldn't be much of a kidnapper if I told you where we were going, now, would I?"
"It'll take a lot more than just a little disappointment to kill me," Sieglide replied, and as light as her tone sounded, it was- technically- true. After all, her life had been a series of disappointments since coming to the school- she was earnestly surprised she'd lasted as long as she had.
"I figured- it's just a force of habit," she muttered, yelping a little when Keri began to haul her off, having to lengthen her stride to keep up with the taller girl. "And hey- do I at least get a hint as to what this kidnapping entails? I still have to study some later, you know..!" Not for any reason other than her own sanity, really but that was a good enough reason, in her mind.
Keri noted the light tone, and the depth behind it. Fingers still threaded through Sieglinde's, she squeezed the other girl's hand comfortingly, but said nothing. Keri wasn't one for stepping on her friend's egos - well, not unless it was funny. In this situation? Definitely not funny.
"Cute~" she teased, laughing at her yelp. "And you do not have to study at all, Miss Genius, nice try. If you need a distraction, I have infinitely more pleasurable things for you to do." She dropped a wink over her shoulder, before leading her captive around a series of corners until she came to an abrupt stop outside the painting of a fruit bowl. Looking around, exaggerating her caution, she leaned forward and tickled the pear. "And voila! The kitchens."
"I like studying though," Sieglinde retorted, rolling her eyes a little and shrugging a bit as Keri stopped in front of a painting. She opened her mouth to say something as Keri reached out to tickle the pear- likely something about inappropriate touching of food- only to shut right back up when the painting began to move.
"...all that... to bring me to the kitchens?" She asked, turning and raising an eyebrow at Keri- though she looked more honestly puzzled than anything. "Why?"
"So do I, but it's been scientifically proven that if you do it for too long your brain will start leaking out of your ears." Keri might have started out that sentence in a normal tone of voice, but by the time she reached the end of it she may as well have been telling some sort of ghost story.
"Oh, come on," she huffed, drawing Sieglinde into the kitchens where they were immediately set upon by a dozen or so eager-to-please moogles. "That was hardly all that. And yes, this is the girl I told you about~" She practically sang that last at the small kitchen staff. "And I would be ever so grateful if you'd ply her with ice cream and whatever other gastronomical delights you find yourselves in the mood to create."
She gave Sieglinde a surprisingly gentle smile, then, at odds with her mostly light-hearted demeanour. "Sometimes you just need a bit of a sugar hit, hmm?"
"...of course it has," Sieglinde deadpanned, and rolled her eyes a little as Keri half-ordered, half-encouraged the moogles, crossing her arms moodily. Granted, talking to a couple of people had helped her mood a little but really- in the end, she still felt roughly as miserable as she had when she'd written those few words out to begin with.
"...how much sugar are you talking, anyway?"
At least, she thought to herself, Keri was still nice enough to her- though for the life of her, Sieglinde couldn't figure out why. Maybe the older girl was some sort of weird masochist.
"Scientifically," Keri reiterated, with a very serious look on her face. She held Sieglinde's gaze for a moment before she was all smiles again, returning her attention to the Moogles and hurrying them along. By this point she'd let go of the younger girl's hand, but the expectant look she threw over her shoulder made it clear that she expected her to sit down.
'Oh, I don't know," she said airily, sliding into a chair to wait for the Moogles' first round. "As much as you can stand to eat and perhaps a bit more, I should think."
"...so. Where are we headed for this kidnapping?"
