IMPORTANT NOTE: This plot was made (and shall be kept) very extremely secret. No characters other than Ambrosia, Lilith, Dionysus, and Massie know that this 'accident' was actually planned. They are very careful, and no character should have reason to be suspicious of their motives.
Ambrosia needed an outlet. She had spent all day yesterday stuck to that insufferably irritating Mudblood, Moroboshi, and Stunning him had not done much to lessen her ire. It still crackled under her skin, hot and electric. She balled her hands into fists at her sides. Patience, she told herself. It would be time soon enough for release.
She walked in what seemed a meandering path along the grounds, leading the children that followed like a directionless Pied Piper. But she was not directionless; her steps were calculated, as most she did, to appear slow, measured, but with little regard as to the outcome. Nothing but an illusion, a deception that came as easy to her as breathing.
Reaching a grassy rise just beside the pens that held the school's chocobos, Ambrosia turned to her fellow Slytherins and the first years they led. "We'll stop here, to eat," she said. The children with their lunch pails gathered around her - but never too close - and flopped down inelegantly, carelessly. She was reminded of her sister's dolls, tossed about and broken in fits of temper. Would that she could break these as well.
But today was a day for heroics, rather than destruction. It would not do for her temper to get the better of her now, when they were so close.
