Kadaj waited outside of his dorm, hands swaying by his sides. Normally when he went sneaking to places he shouldn't be, it was alone, but if Rinoa wanted to come along she would just have to keep up.
If anything, they were bound to run into something out there and he was sure she would make entertaining bait. How many injuries would the creature inflict on her? Would he cast the fatal blow on it? Then he would come back as the hero, having been out only to protect some poor girl. They would respect him. She would come to realize his strength. Sure, he would probably be reprimanded, but since when did he care? He smiled in his daydream, unaware and apathetic to how off his expression appeared.
