A blessing and a curse. )
She wondered if it were possible that she had even the smallest bit connection in this world as the other. Not exactly a goddess, but maybe something close? Rolling her eyes, the brunette sighed. What could possibly be like a goddess but not really? She could think of really stupid things sometimes.
Her thoughts were interrupted though, when she spotted a moving shadow, and cold dread filled her body. Catty jumped up, trying to calm herself. This was what she got for thinking about that stupid other life that wasn't real; everything she saw was going to end up belonging to a force that didn't even exist.
"Hello?" She hoped her voice didn't sound as shaky as she felt.

Sorry!" she called out on instinct, only to swear inwardly and clap her hands. Max was literally, right above Catty, her wings flapping and keeping her afloat. Idiot!! If she'd just kept her mouth shut-!

She had wings. She was flying.
Still silent, Catty nodded, to herself rather than to the other girl. Well, she assumed it was a girl. It had sounded like a girl, right? She had to say something.
"What...?"
Oh, brilliant.

"Tell on me for being out at night if you want," Max began, "Just don't tell anyone about these, okay?" She motioned back to her wings. "I didn't think anyone else would see..."

This had to be Max, then, since Catty pretty much knew everyone in her house.
"Telling on you is practically giving myself up for detention, and I'd rather not put my prefect status in jeopardy yet again just because." Professor Shalice wouldn't be too thrilled to hear that she had been out of the castle after curfew.

Well, she wasn't funny all the time, and at least she hadn't said it out loud or anything.

She rocked on her heels a little bit. Gazed out to the Quidditch pitch, then let her eyes settle back on Max. "What are you, anyway?"

Catty didn't entertain that thought for long. "Whatever version you feel like telling me, I guess. I'm honestly surprised you want to talk about it."
