"An infestation." He stated, deadpan. Just a couple of hours in, and already an inconvenience. He bit back a sigh and entered, intentions of slaughtering the strange, white rodents nearly top priority.

In a matter of minutes Sebastian had removed all of the vermin, leaving him free to go about his duty, which, as of a moment ago, was to bring tea up to his Master. "Hn, and to think, the Young Master had eaten food prepared in this kitchen." He paused, pointedly, a subtle smirk pursing his lips, "How awful." He thought it best to keep matters of the infestation to himself. No sense in worrying his Master, after all.

Sebastian left the kitchen with a silver platter in hand; a kettle of Earl Grey, complete with cup&saucer sitting on top. He maneuvered through the overcrowded corridors toward the Slytherin dormitory, careful not to spill even a drop of his Master's tea ( ... )

Alerted by the knock at the door Ciel glanced that direction, before quickly looking back down at the papers on his desk. The last thing he wanted, was to give the impression that he could have actually missed his servant. Perish the thought..

Soon Sebastian was by his side once again with tea in hand. The boy paused briefly, allowing the steam to rise up and fill the vicinity with its wonderful scent before accepting the cup, "Judging by the fragrance, I'd say this was Earl Grey". The contrast between Sebastian's tea and Hogwarts was unmistakeable. More than half of the time the school's tea was served lukewarm, and might well have been plain water in a dirty cup. There was simply no comparison.

"We'll get to all that.." Right now Ciel felt like playing a little game of his own. After taking a sip, one corner of his mouth drew into a smirk,"And how is the caretaker enjoying his new occupation and surroundings?".

"Mm." He purred, nodding in response. He was right, Ciel had always been very adept at distinguishing the different types of tea. But to be able to do so, even after having his taste buds debased by the dishwater served previously, ..

Sebastian smiled, plainly, whilst setting the kettle back onto the tray. "Yes, my Lord." He took a step back, bowing, a hand laying over his black heart. He returned to attention, curious about the topical change. His lips zippered into a tight knit smirk for a moment. "He is looking forward to turning this dump, ah- pardon me, School, into some place worth attending." He gazed down down at Ciel. "It's only been a couple of hours since my arrival, and already, I have had to eliminate some pests, and no, I refer not to your peers, .. although." His eyes flickered a sharp crimson, tarnished, ever so slightly, by a soft lavender. He stifled his enthusiasm.

"I see that you are well, my Lord. Surprising, under the circumstances." Sebastian snickered, diverting a gaze.

Although it was rare for him to due so, he chuckled slightly in response to Sebastian's appraisal of the grounds and student body, disregarding the implication that there were possibly pests of the four-legged or aix-legged variety running around. Such an astute observation.

"There's nothing surprising about that. I am a Phantomhive afterall". Ciel leaned back into his chair, lacing his fingers together, with a look inbetween satisfaction and amusement playing across his face, he was obviously plotting something.

"This position of yours... may prove to be useful to me.." Asking about Sebastian's situation hadn't merely been idle chit-chat, as caretaker he should have access to much of the castle.
