At times, there's no escaping it...

Name(s): Delita Heiral, whoever cares to bother him, or confront him about anything..
Location: Ravenclaw Common room.
Week: Week 38
Time: Saturday Afternoon.
Rating: G
Warnings: Introspective!Delita. That's really all I can think of.

Parties came and went, though when Delita was involved, heavy interaction with people only led him to wish to be by himself, to recharge.

The people were bad enough...what with his dance with Zelos, his interaction with the others, and even with his own fellow prefect...but what had truly tired him out the most was the noise. The energy. The interaction. It was not as if he disliked celebrations, but to one who didn't attend them often they tended to be taxing, almost a chore to go to, forcing your face in a smile and laughing with people that you would not truly spend much time with outside such events...

Though all-in-all...it was...fun.

It didn't stop him however from sitting close to one of the windows in the common room, book in hand, relishing the feeling of the warm air on his face as the breeze touched his hair.

Peace.

This, truly, was the best medicine.

...

Medicine.

For years, he had been a rather studious young man, his grades high and his station and ability to go through the ranks secured...known by most as 'that quiet Ravenclaw kid' or 'that jerk' depending on who he was speaking to or who knew him. Very few were his 'friends', save Sakura and...

...well.

After this party, he had certainly gained a good bit of 'friends', didn't he? Catty, for one...and perhaps even Harry could be considered an ally. And then there was Zelos, who had approached him and asked for friendship...(Though his manner of which he did it confused him. If he wanted friendship, could he not have simply asked about it from the beginning instead of acting the fool and aggravating him to his last nerve before finally coming out with it at a party? It made no sense, and it lacked logic...but then, if there was anything Zelos didn't have...)

But he had garnered a reputation for being hard to approach, being a bit antisocial, but always knowing the answer and being extremely intelligent. Certainly not the most popular person for a party, but he was reliable. He was someone that they could count on, and that was the important thing. For disciplinary duties, for assignments, for group projects...with them trusting him, and him in a position of trust, when he graduated he could, theoretically, get to a higher place when he went to his higher place of education. That is, if he wished to go to a higher institution after graduation.

...And then there was his healing. It was a very well-kept secret that he was talented in healing. That and protective spells were his talents, though by Merlin, hiding them was something he did every day of his life. Not so much because it was useless...but one couldn't go to a higher position of power as a healer. Healers didn't change, but kept on the sidelines. They weren't leaders, they were support. And the moment people learned of his healing talent, they would push him towards the healing profession, and of course...if he didn't go towards that, he would receive nothing but disappointment...the one thing that he had wished to avoid all along.

But there was the rub. Sakura knew. Catty knew. Harry knew. And worst of all, Zelos knew. His healing abilities would soon get brought to the front, due to a 'slip'...

But...

Somehow, Jaina's words from before started coming to mind.
