[05] Locked to staff; voice

I think we've all felt, by this point, the evil aura stirring in the area... No... all over the Isles. Somehow I feel we would be much better suited putting up far more wards than we have at this point, because all I can tell at this point ( Read more... )

[It is about time... other creatures are so slow to sense these things...]

For something like this, wards won't do much good.

[Simple and to the point.]

We do, however, need to do what we can to protect ourselves and our charges, and every little bit will help.

During my rounds I ran into ... something unexpected.

I suppose this was not the work of the local wildlife after all.

Hm... no. No it is not.

And what, precisely did you run into?

It looked like some sort of animal remains, but the creature was beyond recognition.

What ever is going on we should all pull our collective knowledge together and get it all out in the open. At least as far as the staff goes.

Hmmm... [Well damn, if that doesn't sound like Gluth to her 8|]

I believe we should. I wonder if doing such over the journals would be wisest or... if it were better to do an actual physical meeting.

[She wasn't going to be a smartass about it, but good cover!]

Of course, Professor Solo.

Perhaps I can look into having my espers help with patrolling.

Is there aught else? If you know something...please.

Anything that would help would indeed be appreciated.

[Pauuuuse] It's... a familiar sensation. But I have lived so many long years that it could be any number of things. None of them are good.

Of course. I'll look into it.

A familiar sensation? Because of your...affliction? [With the bodies...]

Such time has passed enough that I am not entirely sure what senses of mine remain from my days as an elf and those I have gained since my return from the grave... but. It may just be so.

I don't think that the school is prepared for what is making the descent. Its made unbelievable progression, thus far, and shows no signs of slowing down, so I must agree with you, Professor Windrunner. It would be in our best interest to fortify the Castle so that we may protect, not only ourselves, but the students.

I do, however, .. think that it would be wise to attempt to look further into this. [ He catches that break and stares at the journal for a moment. ] It's true that everyone can, now, feel the spirals of this aura bearing down on them, but some of us felt it beforehand, before it had become so potent.

No, no I don't believe we are all truly prepared either. But... this is not the first, nor the last time I will ever be in this situation. In fact, it is one I know well.

I... I agree here as well. No fight should you go into unprepared. In this case, I think we were too slow on the full uptake... even though I had felt it earlier it was not... I never thought it would escalate this much, this quickly. I don't think anyone did. And now all we can do is try to play defense and bide our time to prepare, waiting for it to come to us.
