Good Riddance, 2009. Wilkommen 2010!
Well, 2009 was really not my year. Of course, Germany was glorious, but otherwise, the majority of notable events were pretty negative. But let's not dwell on it!
2010, as young as it is, has been SPLENDID on the other hand!
Spent New Years Eve with my Indian co-workers
Jan 1- Dinner with Eric, gorgeous sunset, hung out with Swanand, Shekhar, Jayesh, etc.
Jan 2- had a cooking party with Shekhar (he made incredible Indian food and I made Baklava that went over surprisingly well), was informed that I seem more Indian than American, haha :)
Jan 3- last day at Mikey Dee's, saw Lady Gaga with Liana
Jan 4- packed for Berlin
Jan 5 (today)- Departed for Berlin. I've got a layover in Dulles at the moment, but I'll be boarding a flight to Frankfurt in an hour or so. This is, in all likelihood, the last day I'll spend in the US this year.
While I was sitting here, this Londoner with an iPhone asked if he could charge his phone with my computer. He brought me Starbucks in exchange. Did I mention that he was wearing an eyepatch? bahaha
Onward to Berlin! I can't wait! This really is a dream come true... and I never thought it would happen. To "Simon Funk," if you're out there: Thank you. You really inspired me to pursue my dream of seeing the world.
I've got a great feeling about this year.
