But Kim Kardashian is at the top of my list right now. I come home, check my twitter and tumblr guess what headline I see?
Kim Kardashian Divorce
I thought it was a joke... because they just got married!!! I mean come on!! But nope. It's true.
It really angers me that some of these celebrities with no tangible talent are given so much attention. Before her wedding day, the big event was always in the headlines on E Enterainment and other such shows. It was up there with the Will and Kate Royal wedding... almost. It was getting absolutely crazy! And people were getting in a tizzy. If I'd paid more attention to it too I'd probably be as well maybe. Who wouldn't want a million dollar wedding bonanza? I knew it wouldnt' last though. It was all about appearances. Celebrities rarely hang in for the long run. Marriage is a promotional business. Not a "I'll love you for life" type deal.
I just didn't imagine it would be over this soon! 72 days? 72 DAYS!?! GTFO!! It was a stunt plain and simple. I compared it to the Will and Kate wedding almost because at least Will and Kate are in it for the long haul. Even if I was aggravated with all the media senation they had received, at least it was very respecftul and meaningful. They don't make money off crazy stunts. And I imagine it would seriously damange their reputation if they did get a divorce or annulment. Are they Catholic or not? Kardashians wedding was a media ploy with no real emotional interest/investment in the first place. And as such it was treated as a cheap thrill. Something just chipping away at the sacred foundation of marriage. Fine. Not like it's my life or my marriage/reputation. Yet for those who yearn for that chance to be married, this isn't right. They are ragging on her hard on twitter. Things that last longer than Kims marriage. Hilarious stuff.
Living your life in the public eye is not a comfortable place to be when shit goes to pieces.
