And the ground keeps moving beneath me
I've been busy. Very busy. And I'm kinda loving it :o)
This past weekend consisted of lots of mayheim and fun times. Friday night I ended up in Phoenix with Ashley and we went to Tranz, a goth club out on Central. Really cool place, even if it was overpriced. Oh well. Had an uber blast there dancing and whatnot. Really cool music; it was just industrial or synthpop but also had techno and club mixes thrown in there a bit. I ended up getting to dance a LOT and even pseudo waltzed with a new friend :o) After that we ended up going to a 24hour pizza place and chatted and whatnot. Was so much fun and making new friends is always teh awesome :oD
Slept in on Saturday (since we didn't get home until probably 4 or 5 in the morning) then drove back to Tucson. Hung out with Jenn for the afternoon, then went to the fall film festival at Adrian's house. He apparently puts it on annually which is cool. The film we saw was called "The Red Queen Kills Seven Times" an Italian Giallo (sp?) about a pair of sisters and a murder mystery/legend. It was set in the 70's I think so the clothing was hilarious in and of itself. Great movie, good time with good friends. Headed home, wanted to go out, but alas that didn't happen. Kevin was out of town for Crown Tourney so I was by myself and I never sleep when he's not home. I don't know why, I'm positive it's a psychological thing. Fell asleep on the couch, then kept waking up after I had moved to the bedroom.
Finally got tired of waking up and got up around 8,30am on Sunday, where I went out to the living room. Roommate's friend was asleep on the couch so I just read my book on the other couch and had a cup of tea. Ended up spending the day with Barbara; we went for pizza at this awesome pizza place call the AZ Pizza company across from Park Mall, then wandered around the mall for a long while. I got a new shirt that I think looks really cute on me. Had dance class, then did dinner with Jenn Jenn which was fun. Went home and watched "Across the Universe" with Rabbit; totally awesome movie. I want to buy that and the soundtrack for it.
Monday came and we ended up spending the entire day at Yonaton's house with his wife and kids; we were asked to critique a new CD and we did that, then just hung out. Simon and Magdelen came with their son and we all had this HUGE dinner of yumminess. There was steak and rib bones and corn on the cob and mushrooms and baked potatoes with scallions and sour cream and cheesecake and fruits and HOMG teh goodness. We laughed quite a lot and talked about stuff in game and out of game which was fun. Went home and called Jenn and we hung out; we got the worst case of the giggles and it was uber awesome. Went home, melted chocolate and had dark chocolate-covered pretzels. YUM! Also started watching "He's just not that into you" but i started falling asleep so I had to kick her out which sucked. It's a good movie, I really like it. I want to read the book that it's based on.
Yesterday was busy at work which is nice. I'm not sure if/when I'm ever going to get bumped up to 40 hours/week, so I'm still looking for more work. My friend who works at Chuy's (bar/restaurant across the street from my house) said to submit a resume and she'd put in a good word for me. Fingers crossed that something might come about from that. We'll see. I'm overqualified in most cases, but I'm perfectly fine with working for less, I just need the money. *grumbles*
On an upside, I'm getting my art bug back. I'm so wanting to work on art stuff now it's funny. I've got to hem my kirtle and my surcoat, I still have Impact and Kavin's scrolls and my song I've been working on. Also needing to practice guitar more. I want to sing. I want to paint. I just want to do stuff. I need to join the 'make stuff and give it away' club. Any takers? I know I have Marina's ME outfit and Tammie's pants, but otherwise.... anyone? Anyone? Bueler?
