My bitch.
After five months of fairly glorious self-employment, with a massive dose of self-reflection, I started a new job today. An interesting subject matter, a structured day, and a steady paycheck were irresistible.
I miss being at home with The Handsome Fellow all day, but this is exactly what I needed. It fits in really well with the business we're building. We signed a small contract yesterday, and THF is working on a huge one with a friend. After 18 months of poverty and stress, it looks like we're finally going to gain some ground really soon.
I'm ready to work my ass off. I slacked off while working at home, but I needed the break more than I needed money. The break was nice.
So now the house is off the market and we are staying one more year. No more than that, but this last year looks like it will be pretty decent. (Derby makes me reallllly happy.)
I've learned a lot over the last few months.
I feel so good about how things are turning out.
