so things are going well. for the most part. i'll get the complaining out of the way. on sunday my dog got bit on the ear by another dog. it was bleeding so much i had to take her to the emergency animal hospital and they had to knock her out and stitch her ear up. it cost $345. the owner of the dog that bit her doesn't want to pay. i don't know how he's going to get around being legally responsibility for his dog. especially because he didn't hold on to the leash well enough so his dog got away and nala did not provoke his dog. i dont think he realizes that i will call the dog warden if i have to. ill have to get on that soon. got some other things to take care of first. like getting my furniture. ugh. worst movers ever. apparently something was wrong with the truck. i couldn't understand the guy very well but i think i heard the word coma. not really sure though. apparently they take 14 to 21 business days from the day i requested my stuff to be delivered, not 14 to 21 days from the day they picked up my stuff. whatever. i'll have my stuff by next friday. i may get leave with pay though to get some paid time off work to unpack and stuff. it could make a very odd work schedule.. if i get the whole day off. no work fri-sun. work mon. off work tues. then work wed-fri. getting paid for any time off work to get my furniture here is good enough for me. cuz flexing it would be crappy if i am gone for long enough.
so that's all the crappiness. and its not that much so its all good. good things though. the paperwork on my security clearance is going to get started soon. i'm excited. apparently i don't really need it for much unless i go on the airplane sometime. which will happen, but not too often. they at least like to send new hires up to see it shortly after they start to get a better idea of everything on the plane since its not a normal 747. also, my mandatory training stuff won't be available online until tomorrow. so i was given a project to workon. and its cool because this project is actually a rather pressing problem that could cause more problems if its not fixed. i went through most of it today and yesterday, but i'm going to finish going over it tomorrow then i (or maybe the team laed but i'll be at the meeting) get to present it to some air force people from Tinker AFB at a meeting tomorrow. i may get to go to tinker soon too. which means i'll get my base pass soon too. i probably won't really use that much either but its just fun to have all that stuff. so i'm excited. work is good so far. sounds like it will be busy, which definately beats having nothing to do. i guess the group used to have six people and even then the work started piling on. now there's only four people in the group: the team lead, one guy with less than three years of experience, and two new people who have started less than a week ago. it will be interseting for awhile when use two newbies are getting used to everything. but these projects don't all seem too hard. at least not the ones we've been given so far. a lot if it is common sense and a lot of reading. my project has a 230 page report i had to go through. thankfully there were a lot of pictures. :-) alright i need to get to showering and bed. getting up at 6am is not my favorite thing to do. but i have been good at functioning on less than 9 hours of sleep (even 7 hours some night!). yay me!
