ok... so i realize that it's wednesday... but it seemed like a good time to post about the weekend now.
friday:
worked on new material with the band... got it worked out for this coming friday (at java jims... come out and support...(directions are at the bottom)
saturday:
went to jewish church for the first time in ages. i miss going, i never know when it is. i get a lot out of their services... plus they're designed so that non-morningers like myself will stay away (all that standing up and sitting down) ... you know.. it's kind of strange, in more conventional modern religion i HATE form and ritual... but it seems so appropriate in jewish services and i get something out of it then. i don't understand why there is that difference. maybe because it seems so much more real and there is actually feeling to it....
saturday afternoon the band came over and we did promo shots. if this wasn't the week before finals and i wasn't swimming in projects then i'd have those pictures scanned by now. we DID get some on digital though (individual shots... which solidified my extreme dislike of digital photography)
sunday:
practice again. we've got three songs ready for friday... two new ones and one old. hopefully by the next time we play (battle of the bands at the eclipse) we'll have one more old one ready, and who knows on the new stuph... everybody got hurt. piper got racked a couple times, joe swung his guitar around and hit a light... and piper. amanda smashed her fingers between the floor tom and her stick, jake broke his thumb, and i got a rug burn on my arm (there.. i finally found something on myself... and this rug burn has been annoying... it stings in the shower.) phil came over to teach joe the chords for 'we are the shotgun shells' but that won't be ready for friday.
anyways... some of my projects are done, and others are in the process of being done. i did my first very tongue-in-cheek photo assignment/final last night. now i just have to process, edit and print... no time for darkroom. phooey. anyways. i think that's it.
pray for us on friday. (and that we don't get hurt TOO badly...'cause i think we're gonna hurt some by the end.)
