Time to Tell
“When’re you gonna tell them?”
“What?” Buffy asked distractedly, as she easily ducked an incoming blow.
“You know what.”
Spike ripped the head off his opponent, turning his attention back to where she was still fighting before the dust exploded around him.
The meaning behind his words finally dawned on her, and she let out an exasperated groan. “I told you-“ Her opponent got in a lucky shot, sending her reeling backward. She quickly regained her ground, advancing on the now cocky vampire.
“A little help here?”
Spike ignored her. “You said you were gonna tell them.”
“And. I. Will,” she ground out in time with her punches. Sending the vampire sprawling back, she was finally able to pick up the stake she’d dropped and send it flying into the vampire’s heart. The look of shock on his face as he met his dusty fate was almost comical.
“When?” he persisted.
“Soon,” she promised, giving him a small smile before leading him out of the cemetery.

“You could tell Dawn first,” Spike suggested casually. “You know she’d be happy about it. Probably’d be able to hear her down the block.”
Buffy scoffed. “Yeah right. Dawn-great girl-but can’t keep a secret to save her life.”
“Not really seeing the problem there.”
Buffy slid closer to him on the couch. “Isn’t there anything better you could be doing with your mouth?”
Spike raised an eyebrow at her. “Kinda in plain sight here, Slayer. Wouldn’t want anyone walking in on us would we?”
“Well,” Buffy drawled, hooking a leg over his lap so she was straddling him, “Dawn’s staying over with Janice,” she bent her head to plant a kiss on his lips, “and Willow’s throwing herself into studying at the library,” her lips trailed kisses down his neck, nipping his shoulder playfully before raising her head to look down at him, “leaving us very much alone.”
Spike threw her back against the couch, perching himself above her on his hands. His lips attacked her throat, suckling on the pulse point that drove them both wild. Making good on her request, he travelled down her body leaving kisses in his wake. Nimble fingers quickly unfastened her jeans and shoving them down her legs, he crawled between them.
Wasting no time Spike licked up her slit, smiling into her pussy when she arched her hips in response. He drove his tongue deep into her center, lapping up the juices already flowing there before moving his attention to her clit. Two fingers glided into her, pumping in time as his tongue circled around her clit. Sucking the tiny bud into his mouth, he didn’t stop until he knew she was mere seconds away from coming.
“No,” Buffy whined, arching her hips toward his clever mouth. “Don’t stop. Please, please don’t stop.”
Head descending once more as his fingers teased her opening he asked, “When are you gonna tell them?”
Buffy pushed her hips forward, crying out in frustration when he pulled away. “Jesus Christ Spike let me come and I’ll tell them tomorrow!”
Smiling at his fantastic win, Spike sucked her clit into his mouth, fingers resuming the rhythm of just moments before. He didn’t stop this time until she came, legs tight around his head, fingers in his hair holding him to her just in case.
Once she eased her grip, he grinned at her limp, panting form beneath him.
She scowled at him, more for teasing her than anything else. “You’re evil, ya know that?”
“So I’ve been told,” he replied with a smirk.

Buffy paced nervously outside the Magic Box. Spike watched her, cigarette in hand from his spot perched against the wall. They’d been in the same position for the past ten minutes, and Spike was beginning to wonder if he’d made a mistake by forcing her to do this.
“Listen, pet, you don’t have to do this right now. If you don’t wanna tell ‘em-“
“No,” she insisted, stopping mid-pace. “I want to. I’m just worried, I guess.”
“’Bout what they’ll think?”
She shook her head. “More like what they’re gonna say. I mean the last time I dated a vampire he tried to kill all of us.” She looked at him sheepishly, knowing he hated the topic. To his credit he only rolled his eyes. “I’m worried about how you’re gonna react-how I’m gonna react-to what they say.”
“Promise I won’t bite anyone,” he told her with a grin.
Buffy swatted at him, and Spike used the opportunity to grab her arm and pull her in for a kiss. It ended too quickly for them both, but they had someplace to be.

Buffy looked around the shop at the faces of the only real family she’d ever known. She was grateful that Spike hung back a bit, giving her space, but offering his support at the same time.
“Spike and I are together,” she blurted out, waiting for the backlash of her statement.
Anya was the first to speak. “When you say together, does that mean you’ve been having sex?”
Buffy blushed, as Spike chuckled softly behind her. “Well, yeah, but-“
“Pay up, Harris,” Anya said victoriously, holding out her open palm to her fiancée with a smug smile as Xander groaned.
“Ew. You were betting on them-Ew,” Dawn grimaced. Seeing Buffy’s face she quickly amended, “N-not that the two of you are-Ew!”
“We’re not?” Buffy asked skeptically, looking at Willow and Xander who had yet to speak.
“I wouldn’t say that,” Xander grumbled, fishing a twenty out of his wallet and handing it to Anya.
“We’ve all, uh, we’ve all kinda known,” Willow explained sheepishly. “Well, not known exactly. More like Anya guessed, and we kinda thought she was right.”
“Except Xander, apparently,” Buffy said, trying to scowl at her friend, but finding it hard considering the circumstances.
“Don’t be grumpy.” Dawn threw her arms around her sister, hugging the slayer tight. “You’ve just been in a better mood lately than-ya know, before.”
“I’m not grumpy,” Buffy defended. “Just-surprised?” She glanced back at Spike, beckoning him forward with an outstretched hand. “So everything’s okay?”
“I’ll take a satisfied slayer over a sexually frustrated slayer any day,” Anya replied cheerfully.
Willow smiled her acceptance of the new couple while Xander nodded hesitantly. “But if Spike turns evil-“
“Hey, I am evil,” the blond vampire protested, earning a glare from Buffy and an eye roll from Dawn.
Letting go of Spike’s hand, Buffy took a seat at the table with her friends, noticing the open books littering the top. “So what’s the what?”
