goodbye 2011! my favs of 2011 with GIFs

These are my favorites, and are by no means the best shows on TV right now.  But they are the best to me, and since I made the list that's all that matters!

#11 Parks and Recreation

This show has an amazing cast of characters.  Every time I think one character is my favorite, a different character changes my mind.  I like to watch this show on demand instead of weekly so I can watch a few episodes in a row.  This is the only show I actually do that with!  I only really started watching it regularly this year.

#10 Gossip Girl

I love all of these beautiful people.  Their silly drama fuels the upper east-sider in me.
And hey, Michelle Tractenberg plays an evil born again!

#9 New Girl

2011 was full of great new shows, and this is definitely the break-out comedy.  Zoey Deschanel is so cute and quirky, surrounded by three guys with completely different, but hugely fun personalities.

#8 Happy Endings

Wednesday nights on ABC are my much needed comedic break from all the dramas I watch.  Modern Family followed by Happy Endings is the perfect hour of comedy on television.  They're two more shows with perfect ensembles.

#7 Modern Family

Hands down the funniest family on television.  Don't need to say anything else-
if you're watching you know, and if you're not what are you doing with your life??

#6 Boardwalk Empire

Couldn't find too many GIFs for this show, but this one says it all.  I'm not going to give any spoilers, but if you watched the season finale you'll know what I'm talking about.  WHAT THE HELL???  I love this show, although I thought the first season was better than the first.  Can't wait to see what they do with it next season.

#5 Shameless

I have such a thing for family-oriented shows.  William H. Macy plays Frank to perfection, in a role I never saw him being good at.  Every single actor plays their character perfectly from little Carl to Vee and Kev.  I'm anxiously awaiting the return of this show next Sunday!

#4 Homeland

A ton of people were raving about this show, and they were RIGHT!  I watched this show on Demand right around the time it ended, and I flew through the episodes.  You won't want to stop watching, and you'll keep watching just to know what happens next.  I'm suspicious of everyone on this show, even the supposedly "good guys".

#3 The Vampire Diaries

I've said enough about this show in my previous posts during my re-watch.  I love this show, it makes my Thursday nights (more like Friday mornings when I actually watch it on my DVR) awesome and leaves me counting down the days until next Thursday.  I'm loving season three, and I'm anxious to see how they play out the Damon/Elena story line.  Will they get them together??

#2 Game of Thrones

NED STARK.

Okay, there are about 5 bazillion characters in this show, and doing a re-watch really helps you pick up things you might have missed the first time around.  I love all the Starks, love to hate the Lannisters (except Tyrion who I just LOVE), and worship Dany.

...before I get to #1 I want to give an honorable mention to Ringer.  It may not be the best new show on television, but it gave us back SMG and for that we should be thankful!  Besides, it's gotten so much better and I'm really enjoying it now.  I would definitely suggest you give it a try!

AND FINALLY...

#1 REVENGE

By far the best new show on television.  It is amazing how she sets out to screw over someone different every week.  I really like Jack, and I hope they fill us in by the end of the season if Daniel really dies and what part Jack has in it, but I'm sure they'll keep us guessing until next season.
