Vacation possibility!
So, I've been given 3 months of deadlines. I know what my work-life is going to be like all the way through July (when I'll oddly be writing September issues).
On the one hand, this is depressing. Like, OMG look at gratuitous amounts of work I have to do! BLEH!
But on the other hand, I spy a window of opportunity for a vacation. The week of June 5th-June 9th, I think I could quite easily get away from the computer and not be bothered to do an insane amount of extra work beforehand. It would just require doing layout and keywords, which could be done in 3 hours max. And then I could get out of this crazy town for 7 whole days!
I'm not saying I'd like to do something exotic. At the top of my list are: spending time at the cabin, revisiting Bald Head Island, going to Williamsburg for the outlets and the Tavern, checking out the Battlegrounds of Antietum, or possibly flying up to see friends/family in either Rhode Island, D.C., NYC, or Seattle. Nothing has to be decided right now, of course. But it's SOOO thrilling to think about doing an actual vacation. Wooo! I definitely want to do something semi-memorable.
