I am alive, I promise.
I just have not been home much this summer. Just got back from SAI national convention in Florida, which was AMAZING, and of course, a Disney vacation. No summer would be complete without one- although next summer is looking more promising- a Parisian Disney vacation and cruise? Anyways, Matt came with us so that was good. Wednesday I leave for E-board retreat in Petoskey- that will be fun. After that, a week filled with work and packing and then into the new apartment! I'm excited- time to get out of here. I have had my fill of family togetherness for the summer.
TOday I saw a traffic light that was completley split in half. Something must have hit it- like a gigantic truck.
I moved into an office at work finally! No more library makeshift cubicle for me. Interesting conversation that happened while I was in the file room....
Attorney: Where did you say you went to school?
Me: Western
Attorney: Aw, that's not a real school, that's a party school.
Me: Is that from personal experience or you just believe everything you hear?
Attorney: (grumble grumble) Well I bet you go out partying all the time and you bring home a different boy every night.
Me: (stares at attorney in disbelief) Well, sometimes I bring home 2 at once, just to keep production moving through.
Attorney: Aren't you somebody's daughter?
Me: Dave Roback? (he runs the firm)
Attorney: Oh (looks worried)
Me: (thinks, have your desk cleaned out by 5:00)
Attorneys are jerks.
