I am finally homehome. No yucky dorm food, no ridiculous suitemates, and most importantly, NO AURAL COMP for a whole month. How sweet it is.
I don't think my break is going to be all that exciting. Plans for this week include wrapping tons of presents for our adopt a family, since I have to drop that off Friday, waking up every day at 6:30 to get my brother on the bus, christmas shopping, then going to the hospital/staying with my grandma. She's having knee replacement surgery tuesday. Gross. I also need to find you, Nikki Goldman. I know you're still in school but that doesnt mean I'm not going to call you in and steal you for a day to go to Frankenmuth. We can eat chicken and shop for tacky christmas ordanments.
I went to see the DSO last night which was very exciting. I talked to some old lady ushers there, and they encouraged me to email/call this guy who is in charge of ushering buisness, and she said that they're always looking for more volunteers, so....hopefully this summer I'll be ushering at Orchestra Hall, the Opera House, the Fox and the Masonic! How cool would that be? I don't care if I don't get paid, I'll get to see so many awesome concerts and other performances...that would be awesome. The concert itself was of course really good- they played a nice variety of stuff, including an amazing arrangement of a gospel tune which has now totally inspired me to wear purple robes and learn how to sing.
In other news, Heather has been in Kalamazoo too long because she's listening to country music. Somebody stop her.
