my poor car...
I think my car must be jinxed. It will be going into the shop for the third time because someone decided to U-turn into me 30 minutes ago :( I didn't realize she was parked on the street I was driving down, and she didn't realize I was driving down said street. She was attempting to make a U-turn as I drove by her, and it was a really weird feeling driving up and over her front tire. Thankfully, no one was hurt as I was going more than 20mph at the time, and she was starting from a stopped position. The front passenger side of my car doesn't look so good right now, though. The bumper is dangling and in some pieces, the windshield wiper fluid is leaking, and the back passenger door handle is in pieces (I think I hit her driver side mirror with it) and the paint is all scratched in that area. All of this happened literally a block from my house, while I was on my way to the grocery store. Thankfully, I was able to drive it the block back home, but I'm not sure the bumper bits will hold together well enough to get it to a collision center. Someone from her insurance company will be out in the next 3 days to do an evaluation, and then I can bring it to the place that has been pretty good in the past. Thankfully, they do provide for a rental vehicle. Now, I'm just waiting on a friend to come take me to the grocery store so I can eat some lunch this week.
