Paris!

Feb 03, 2011 14:31

I haven't really been in updating mood, but I did get back to Japan a few weeks ago.  The flight was long and tiring but I got back. I really need to keep updating but I've been so busy recently.

Anyway, I did go to Paris when I was home. It was my first time going to France so I didn't really know what to expect.

The flight was really really quick and painless. However getting to the airport and trying to figure out what bus to get was really hard.

We finally got to our hotel area, which was right next to the Arc de Triumph, or Etoille in French (yeah, I had no idea it was called that either).  It was beautiful.

Stunning.

Everywhere there was scooters!!!!! So cute! I really wished I still had mine.

We walked down the Champs de Elesse. (can't spell!) and saw all the fancy shops. Louis Vuitton anyone? The head quarters!

We found a Christmas fair and had some extremely nice food.

Waffles anyone? They were really really tasty! Mum loves her waffles!! :D

We unfortunatly were bipased by the bus that we were going to take to sight see, but we did catch a river cruise down the seine. It was soo cold but stunning.

Notra Dam! Gorgeous!

Effiel Tower! It sparkled at 8pm. It was stunning.

Absolutely stunning.

We stood underneath it and saw lots and lots of people selling extremely cheap Effiel Towers.  5 for 2 euros anyone?! SO cheap.

Going back we had a look at Ettoile up close.

Beautiful! Everything about Paris is stunning. It simply is one of the most gorgeous cities in the world.

After dinner and a long sleep.

Finally I got a Macaron! French Macarons are HUGE :D:D:D But not as tasty as I thought they would be. Maybe the bigger they are the less concentrated sweetness they are... I was so obsessed with trying every cake I could. Cake in France is AMAZING. I highly recommend eating cake. Everyone should eat cake.

On our first full day we went for a Segway tour! Segways are really fun to ride. They use just the bodies balance to move. It was tough at the start but it was really fun.

They went really fast. However as Paris was really cold, it was tough. Not moving on a segway for 4 hours is...cold... especially when going fast. We managed to go lots and lots of places and it was really different to be scooting round the place seeing the sites.

Afterwards we went to the Notra Dam.

I love Notra Dam. Its beautiful. Absolutly stunning.

The windows were stunning too. Loved the detail.

At night we went to the Moulan Rouge!!! We got dressed up in our dresses and went for food before hand which was the right thing to do as the food at the venue didn't look too good that and it was super rushed. We got to our table which was marked and reserved for us, and opened a bottle of Mumms Champagne. It was really really delicious. Its the first bottle of Champagne I've actually liked.

The show was brilliant. It was the gayest thing I've ever seen.  Sparkly outfits, diamonds dangling from boobs. diamonds everywhere. Hunky men that were super camp. It was brilliant.  They even has the worlds fastest juggler and also a ventriloquist.

Probably the highlight of the trip. The Moulan Rouge was amazing.

Me and Mum afterwards.

I also, had the most amazing Crepe. Banana, Chocolate, Sugar, Coconut flavour. It was HUGE and delicious. France wins on the cake front.

The next day was our last.  We went to Sacre Cour and then Montemarte where I got some amazing Macarons! We were stopped about 7 times to be asked if we wanted our pictures painted. Noooo thank you!

We also went to a Dali exhibition. It was a permanent gallery and it was full of some amazing artworks. Loved it!

Dali is awesome.

Overall, Paris was beautiful, stunning, cold, but extremely expensive! Really need alot of money to go around Paris. But I loved it. Would love to go back again for sure.
