It was...my birthday :) So in true style...I planned lots of stuff so I wouldnt get all lonely and silly cos my family is in Scotland and I'm here. (I like birthdays at home...always have done...but this was the 2nd time with birthday abroad!! :O).
In Gifu there are very large Fireworks displays to behold around my birthday so on the 25th we planned to go and watch the fireworks and then take it from there..
BUT! There was also a problem... RAIN!!!!!! First off we headed out for lunch at Gravy Sauce (Gravy Sauce is a hawaiin restaurant with burgers and meat platters galore!! cocktails and fab ice creams too!). So I started off with a cocktail :)
A Blue Hawaii and Yummy :D
We then had Avocado Burgers and such :D Then on the the fireworks! Me, Heather and Rin headed back to my house to get changed for the fireworks and then we met everyone at the station and walked to the river to see the fireworks. I must say it was a huge pain the ass to find and tell people where we were and to answer the phone and mails and all sorts. I know for sure that next year I'm not going to bother. I was so close to throwing my phone into the river...so close! But eventually we found out space and we sat down and enjoyed the fireworks. I never took photos this year... I maybe should have as alot of people were wearing yukata which was awesome and we looked kinda strange together. Fun times, fun times.
After fireworks we decided that we must go to karaoke....MUST, so we hurried back to gifu city (in yukata, flip flops and with sweat dripping down our backs...) We got there and we karaoked it up! I must say it was probably the most fun I've had at karaoke in a very very long time. It was so much fun! I dont have many photos, but I have Christina's photos of me and Rin being stupid.
Not attractive, but high tension is the way to go with birthdays. I got a really nice Birthday song sang to me too and although me nick and alex had good intentions...we ended up making an extremely vile sake drink..which we didnt drink in the end. Rin also Lap danced Nick to cheer laura up and Brian looked stuning in his hat and yukata. :) I think...Narin, Jess, Mari, Heather, Nick, Alex, Raven, Rin, me, Mayu, Brian, and Laura were all there...I may have been wrong..I was pretty hyper!
Karaoke fun :) <3 Karaoke with friends.
After that we ran back for the last train and somehow ended up home :) Yey!
It was officially my birthday!!! Yey 24!! Its Crazy how time flies. It was also an entire year since I left home and came to Gifu so I had a rather emotional night. I read my emails and burst out crying cos I wasnt home (Rin was like whaaat, did I do something!, which was kinda funny) But I had a low, dang I aint home moment. Alcohol BAD!
I woke up on the sunday really early and I opened all my presents from my family. I got...CLOTHES! OMG CLOTHES! I was so happy to recieve clothes! I got some cute tops and a nice cropped jumper which I am really looking forward to wearing more. I also got a cute bag, some purses, some hayfever medicine, a sex and the city dvd and...I cant remember! But I was very very happy. Rin then came to my flat and gave me a Tiffany and Co necklace :)
a little apple :) Its so cute :) I <3 Tiffany & Co :)
He also gave me a tiny lil Godzilla toy...toy...it was cute..and very typical of him :) But cute none the less.
Then..it was off to pick up Jess and Brian and head off to Nagashima Supa Land!!!!! Which is a theme park that has the longest rollar coaster in the world apparently :)
We left off in time...but we somehow managed to be later than everyone else (woops... I think it was that very very long breakfast we had). But once we arrived it was off to the Steel dragon. Christina took these photos :)
Setting off
This climb was particulary long.......
You cant see it......BUT Rin is on the other side of me...holding onto the rail for dear life....with his face terrified. Rin had never been on a rollar coaster before...and he hated them. But being the bad girlfriend I was...I made him go on this one. He didnt look up once...he kept looking down and grasped on to the rail for dear life...it was so funny as the photograph section showed me, Laura and Brian...but no rin...his head was ducked down so far.
Steel Dragon was awesome. It was sooooo long! 2 mins or so...Loved it :) Would recommend it anytime!
You can check out the youtube video of it here;

Watch that! the end bit turned my stomach!
Next up was White Cyclone :)
But unfortunatly there was safety checks in which we had to wait for a very long time.
Our group :) I dragged Rin on this one too!!!
Afterwards :) Small sigh of relief from Rin. The second time we went on this I tried to get Rin to put his hands up...he was screaming the entire time, which was alot more fun than the ride....his face and reactions. I am really a bad girlfriend...but it was hilarious. I think he was ok after this.
At some point...we thought it was a good idea to go on the log flume...
Thanks Mari for the pics! Shoot the Chute!!!!!!!!!!! She warned us we would get wet...and I believed her but I didnt think we would get THAT wet....
A wall of white water...which was amazing..until it came down on top of us..hard...
The boys were lucky and got to wring out their tops...
ewww...
Defeated...... well we were defeated at least...
We then took Shimpei into the haunted house...and he was sooo terrified...it was kinda funny...the haunted house was so lame as well... nothing scary at all, but shimpei had to cling to my arm to make it through...poor boy..
Afterwards we got soaked as a massive black cloud decided to shit rain on us...we were wet to the bone...with no umbrellas...and no change of clothes....niiice
This called for food and then getting warm again. Which was followed by buying shoes and makeup... (horray for outlet stores!)
I got these ones :) They have grown on me alot :) So comfy too!
After shopping we headed back to Gifu in the rain!! It was kinda scary driving for rin but he did an awesome job!
Steel Dragon as we left.
When we got home I phoned home and then rin surprised me with a cake!! Which I was extremely happy to recieve!!!
CAKE :D It was yummy!
Expensive toooo!!
But yummy. Me and Rin ate the whole thing together :) yum yum.
Anyways I had an amazing birthday and hopefully being 24 will be as amazing as it started! Thanks to everyone that came. I really appreciated it. Heres to another year in Japan as a 24 year old!
