Inspired by today's XKCD ....
Has anyone reading this blog read House of Leaves? There seems to be a large group of people who would highly recommend it and yet a not insignificant number of people who think it's rough to read and not worth the effort.
I suspect from some of the Amazon reviews that the chaotic writing style of story within story might render me unable to really enjoy the book, but I thought I'd ask around to see if anyone has read it themselves to get some other opinions.
So, pretentious author with nothing to back up his story other than literary hype or diamond in the rough? :)
