I have become cumbersome

Tomorrow's my last day of Christmas break. And I have to work. *sniffle* Can't I just be lazy on my last day? LOL. Then again, I probably won't work the entire shift. If it's going to be like Monday's shift, they have way too many people scheduled for the amount of work to be done, so I see a lot of us going home early. I don't see it being packed with business until closing, even if it's the day before classes start. I'm assuming between 6 and 7 pm, most people will be at dinner, not buying textbooks. Of course, you know there's going to be at least one person that comes in @ 6:58 pm wanting to buy all their books for the semester. There always is. I don't understand their thought process. The store opens at 8 am and they decide to do their shopping two minutes before it closes. I mean it's open for eleven hours. Why not come sooner? It's not like anyone uses their books the first day of class anyway. I don't buy books until I see them on the syllabus. I just hope I'm not the person picked to stay until seven. It's always a bummer to be the one stuck helping the late customers, especially if they have a lot of books to get. I mean if it's already closing time, just give me the book list to get your books, trust me, I can find them faster than you. And the quicker I can get you out, the sooner I can go home. I have such a great customer service work ethic, lol.
