tis the season
This is Kailey's (almost 5) first joke. We were driving and she yelled "Look, there's a pagan god on that school bus!" Then she said "Just kidding!" with the cutest inflection. She laughed hysterically. We thought it was quite funny. That is, until we went to the inlaws. They live in an RV so I didn't think they'd have a tree, but when we walked in there was a lit Christmas tree and she shouted "look mom, a pagan god!"
Oh, I wanted to crawl right under that christmas tree skirt. LOL
At Walmart she wanted to see the bell ringer. She asked the woman what the money was for, and she told her. Then the woman asked her what santa was going to bring her. She replied "Santa is dead." "What?" "Santa is dead." "I'm sorry, what did you say?" The woman heard her, just couldn't believe what she heard! I explained that she knows Santa is a tradition based on St Nicholas, a kind man who lived and died long ago who gave gifts to the children.
I think she was, um, kind of surprised to say the least. haha Santa is dead. :)
