He's not sure why he started, no wait scratch that, he knows exactly why he started, though why his girlfriend telling him she was pregnant suddenly makes him want to knit he doesn't know, but that's exactly what he finds himself doing in the private of his own home. There's no way he's ever going to tell his brother or any of his family about this, it's bad enough that his parents decided to give him a girls name, he has the piss taken out of him enough for that from practically everyone, especially his mates, with the exception of his parents maybe, so if they were to ever discover he'd taken up knitting they'd definitely take the piss and he certainly wouldn't live it down, so that's why he's never telling them.

That's why he's hoping that Kaitlyn's brother Luke doesn't ever find out, they've been friends for years, best friends, and they've served together in Afghanistan for gods sake he shouldn't be knitting, and yet he is. He's not even told Kaitlyn, but not for the same reasons, she's probably going to laugh at him and for some reason he finds he doesn't mind that so much, but she'll think it's cute and more then likely because of her hormones she'll probably end up crying.

If his grandma, his dad's mum, were still alive he knows it would make her happy that her grandson has taken up one of her favourite hobbies. And he finds himself smiling as he thinks of her while knitting the jumper he's decided to make, in blue, even though he has yet to find out the sex of his baby, but he doesn't care cause even if it turns out to be a girl there's nothing that says she can't wear it. And well it's looking pretty good, even if he does say so himself.
