Summary: At Clow's house, the cherry blossoms are always blooming, the petals always falling, and they tangle in Yuuko's hair as the two of them sit out on the verandah.
At Clow's house, the cherry blossoms are always blooming, the petals always falling, and they tangle in Yuuko's hair as the two of them sit out on the verandah. He very carefully picks the flowers out with deft fingers that linger on her cheekbones and the back of her neck.
"You're lovely," he whispers. Though it is always spring at Clow's house, and normally they are both loud and cheerful, this feels like a day to be quiet. It might be raining, if he hadn't messed around with the local weather patterns. Instead, the sun is bright and they are both bathed in it, thinking.
"Uh huh," she mumbles, reaching up to brush her hand across his jawline and down his neck. She considers him dreamily for a long moment before kissing him, leaving lipstick on the corner of his mouth.
A cloud drifts across the sun and Clow catches a petal before it lands, brushing it across her shoulderblade. She sighs. It feels like everything is waiting, here, for something to happen. It feels like the world is about to wake up.
"I will let autumn come, this year," he says, not meeting her eyes.
"I'm not raking," she replies, not that it makes much sense between the cherry blossoms and the firs, but it makes him smile.
She takes his hand and they go inside together, one last time.
