Her nose was happily greeted with the lovely scent of flowers, and she felt strong arms encircling her waist. Her eyes opened to see a brunette women and a raven-colored, spiky-haired man entwined with her as well as each other.
Tifa leaned back into the man's chest and smiled, thinking, So, it wasn't a dream, after all... She then smiled wider as the other woman stirred. "Morning."
"Ahh...g'morning, Tifa," The woman smiled contently. "Slept well?"
"Yeah, now that my bed isn't empty."
The brunette giggled. "I didn't realize Cloud was being that stubborn about that aspect of your relationship. Had I known, I might've talked him into being your bedmate sooner."
"That would be wonderful--still sounds greats--but then...I would be missing out on this." And with that, Tifa leaned over to kiss the other woman. They continued to kiss, letting their hands gently run over each other's bodies before a deep chuckle made them break off and look at the man, now grinning at them with open, Mako-glowing eyes. "Well, this is a lovely sight to see first thing in the morning."
"Morning, Zack," The brunette cheerfuly stated as she leaned over Tifa.
"Mornin', Aeris," Zack murmured just before they locked their lips in a deep, tongue-twisting kiss.
Tifa simply leaned back and watched the two continue their morning greeting with only one solid thought running through her mind: If Cloud was here with us, this would be perfect...
Surprisingly, there was a brief knock on the door before it opened to reveal a blonde man carrying a food-ladened tray. "Good morning, Tifa, I hope I'm not distur--" He stopped in full sentence upon seeing the three people in bed, half-covered by sheets and nothing else. He just stared at them for a moment, mouth hanging open and his eyes widened like a Chocobo caught in the headlights.
Tifa felt the heat on her cheeks as they blushed a deep red. "Cloud, I...I can explain..."
"We can explain," Aeris added gently.
"Yeah...got enough breakfast for the four of us? I'm kinda hungry."
"Oh, Zack!" Aeris gently pushed him away, giggling.
"What? I am! I can't help it if bacon makes my stomach growl!"
And for the first time since Heaven knew when in Tifa's memory...Cloud laughed. Not a sad, or a "totally losing it" laugh, but a honest, happy laugh.
Today, in Tifa's mind, might be a good day after all.
