Too bad she won't live...

from the Trades:

BLADE RUNNER the "Final Cut" will be coming to DVD this September.

A Ridley Scott film, BLADE RUNNER ran into problems while shooting. The film ran over budget and Scott was essentially removed from production. The movie was altered and released theatrically in 1982.

In 1992 Scott released a director's cut of the film, but has often said he was rushed and unable to give the film the required attention.

The newly restored "Director's Cut" will debut on home video in September, and remain on sale for four months only, after which time it will be placed on moratorium.

Blade Runner: Final Cut will arrive in 2007 for a limited 25th anniversary theatrical run. The run will be followed by a special edition DVD with the three previous versions offered as alternate viewing: Besides the original theatrical version and director's cut, the expanded international theatrical cut will be included.

Way to gouge us fanboys. Don't get me wrong, Blade Runner in the theatre, im there... multiple times. Releasing the new cut, and then releasing it again with all the others seems shady, though expected. Do I wait for the big one with all versions? Probably. Its funny to have the theatrical version for the "Cold Fish" bit.
