:D Thanks so much! Writing this felt like a giant party. I've never really had the sensation of having a character narrate a story to me or whatnot, but ideas would just suddenly strike me and I would grin like the biggest idiot in the world while typing madly.

EIJI'S POOR BROTHER. God, that had to be done. My #1 mental requirement for Inui/Eiji seems to be that they completely disregard the sanity of others. It is love! ♥

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS FIC SO HARD AHHHH SO GOOD!!!!!! OHMAN.

It's too little, too late, though. Inui falls onto the floor with a thud. Eiji can feel his face flushing bright red as his brother takes in the rumpled blankets of the bottom bunk, their unsteady, uneven breathing and flushed faces, Inui surreptitiously tugging his pants up.

"I'm supposed to tell you that dinner is in five minutes," His brother looks torn between horror, amusement and the dawning realization that he now has blackmail material for possibly the rest of their lives, "And for God's sake, Eiji, that's my bed. Gross."

I think that was my FAVORITE part!!! SIBLINGS AND BLACKMAIL. *_________________*

Okay this fic was totally cute and wonderful and how can a person not love Senbatsu fic? :D

I love your characterizations in this fic. The scene with Yanagi, Inui and Eiji was very adorable and for some reason, I just love this line: "Latitude of roughly 20°," Inui supplies, apparently trying to be helpful. Inui trying to explain things and just making them more complicated is awesome. :)

The ending is fantastic and hilarious and I am so curious as to who you are, anon! :D Awesome, awesome.

I adore Senbatsu fic. I've always wanted to try my hand at it and this seemed like the PERFECT opportunity, given that about 3/4 of the pairings in the request could most likely be engaged at Senbatsu - (Am I starting to sound like Inui? God.)

The characterization was my biggest worry and I am so relieved that it was well-received! Eiji and Inui were the two characters I had always avoided writing the most and it was really interesting to work around that.

I re-watched the Senbatsu arc twice (because I got about halfway through, stopped for a month and forgot what happened :D) to make sure I was getting the details right. I was surprised how easy it was to write it in amongst the actual canon - Eiji kept appearing in every scene that Inui was in, separate training groups be damned. :D I didn't use every opportunity that I could, but I'm glad that it worked out.

Writing this has made me understand Eiji a lot more - brash and impulsive, tactile, sneaky, boyish. And Inui was way to fun to write. :D They really compliment each other like that.

And going to Eiji's house!!!! : DDDDDD and FLAIL. OMG. From them on Eiji's bed talking about Tezuka and Ochibi and just lying there looking at each other and EIJI. STEALING. INUI'S. GLASSES. OMFG. ILUFORTHAT!!!! Its so perfect and so EIJI. ^_^ And how there are awkward, unsure moments!@!!!! and FIGHTING FOR THE GLASSES and tangled LEGS and the feet against legs before this and alskdfja Inui winding up kneeling on Eiji's thigh and sitting "deliberately" on his ankle! Then the hints of GIRL-THOUGHTS *_* FLAIL

I just FLAIL. Hand on Eiji's wrist!

But Eiji still feels kind of shivery and warm and wriggly. Inui is still holding onto one of his wrists and his skin feels hot under Inui's grip. Inui is looking at him strangely - not that he can see his eyes anymore, but he looks - uncertain. He's staring at Eji like he doesn't quite know how to move.

"Inui," Eiji says, and it comes out in almost a whisper. He clears his throat. "Inui, what?"I love that part! Eiji's "almost [a] whisper" voice. And throat clearing! : DDDDDD ( ... )

First off, SO RELIEVED that this worked out. I wrote parts of this with the feeling that it was either going to flop or be awesome - and I'm glad that it somehow ended up being the latter. The prompt was overwhelming, but amazing - I started scribbling out notes right away, I think I still have them. It was unusual and a huge challenge and I can't even begin to tell you how much fun it was ( ... )
