YUSSSS.
I found out today after doing my 'try-outs' at the hotel that I got the job! YEAH! So, I can't really say much about it yet since I've been told I have the job by the man in charge, but I haven't signed my contract yet and won't for about a week. But I think all should be well with respect to this, and I can't wait to start working!
As for the try-out at the bakery. Oh...my...god. I had no idea food could be mistreated in all the ways I saw that evening. It was horrible. I got the job at the bakery too, but I SERIOUSLY did not want to go back there EVER, for SO MANY REASONS. *shudders*. Let's just say among other things that hygiene just didn't seem to be a concern, there was very little I could have learned there to advance my pastry skills, and the place is black-market (undeclared employees). That's just like, the beginning of the list. But thankfully I don't ever have to go back there, so *wipes brow* phew.
That is all for now. As it's Sunday and everything is closed here I think I may actually go raid a vending machine for a celebratory beer. (Yup, beer is available right alongside the chocolates, chips, and waffles in the vending machines here.)
