Just checking out my dwindling financial reserves and was reminded of this awesome mutual back scratching-thing: Here is an easy way to get an extra 25 dollars in your pocket, and to help me out at the same time.
Open an account with ING direct Canada. It costs nothing, ever, to have an account with them and they pay better interest than a lot of banks. Deposit 100 dollars and leave it there for about a week. Within 24 business hours of ING receiving your deposit, you will receive a 25 dollar bonus in your new ING account for being a person who was referred by me, and I'll get 25 dollars for referring you. All you have to do is quote this "orange key" code when they ask who referred you:

After you get your bonus, do whatever you want with the bonus, the account and the money in it...you can move all your money back into your regular bank account, or you can leave it in the ING account. The account will still stay open even if you have like, no money in it. If you refer other people you know using YOUR orange key code that you'll get with your account, you'll make 25 bucks every time a friend opens an ING account using your key-code. Crazy eh? But I will say this...having earned more than 1200 dollars in interest since I started being an ING direct customer, never paid a single service fee, and never having had a problem with them, I'd recommend (honestly) that you give them a shot if you haven't already.
