Brentwood graffiti

I took these pictures after reading a post about gang graffiti on the Brentwood MD list serv a week or two ago. Right after reading the post, I saw the stop signs pictured in the first image of the two stop signs, one atop the other. When I first saw them, about 2 weeks ago, there was some graffiti that seems to have been written over. The overwriting seems to have happened within a week after I saw the first graffiti. I took this pic 2/21/09. This was at the corner of 37th St and Windom Rd.
It looks like the top sign has "SUR" with a "V" crossing it out, and the bottom sign has an "L" crossed out (or crossing something else out?) and god knows what else. For more discussion on VL, see: http://sprig5.livejournal.com/174906.html
I also took this pic 2/21/09. This is at the corner of 37th St and Allison St. This sign appears to have previous graffiti which was overwritten by later graffiti (maybe more than one overwriting?). I pass by this sign a few times a week, but I don't remember anything specific about when the first or later graffiti appeared.

something about 18th st? The palimpsest effect is striking.
I also took this pic 2/21/09. Is "Acid," like, also some gang thing? Or a message to keep kids off drugs? I dunno. Also at 37th St and Allison St.
