Recent Class Work
Here's another class assignment I did recently. The assignment was to take a set group of images and assemble them into an advertisment for Toyota Prius (I know the car in the photo aint a Prius...); Anyway, the idea was to do a photo montage of sorts in Photoshop and then assemble the text for the ad in Illustrator. So this is what I came up with;
I still need to redo the text in Illustrator since this is all done in Photoshop since my copy of Illustrator is playing up at the moment. Anyway I think it turned out okay, I think I'm getting better with doing Photoshop stuff but I got a long way to go before I start doing stuff that blows people away like Pete or Mike Harrison's stuff for example.
Out of all the work I've done for class so far, this is probably the only piece I've done that I'd be happy to have in my folio. I'm starting to think that my illustration stuff is pretty weak and I need to work on spicing that up a lot more by using Illustrator rather than doing it in hand and Photoshop like I have been. The other way would be to get into doing more painted type work, rather than the simple cell shading I use at the moment.
Anyway I guess I'm just thinking out loud here, thinking about how I can take my stuff to the next level I guess.
