Decided to reinstall windows on this pc the other day which was fun. First off I decided to try out Windows XP 64bit since it was kinda recommended from a friend, which worked fine until it came to installing the drivers for my scanner, which turns out there was no drivers for. So I thought about buying a new scanner since this one is pretty old now (got it back in 2002) and a new one should be better quality. In the end though, I just decided to go back to normal 32bit Windows XP Professional which everything works on.
But all I can say about 64bit is it seems pretty useless, the speed wasn't that much faster than the 32bit version. I guess the only advantage of 64bit is you can use 4gb of ram with it. I don't know if the deal is the same with the 32/64bit versions of Vista, but from my experience the 64bit version seems like a waste of time.
Went out and picked up a copy of COD4 today. I should've bought it off Steam when it was the same price as it was in the US, before Activision decided to jack the price up to the same as we pay retail here. The game is pretty fun, though I've only played imultiplayer for a little bit. To me it's more intense than Counter Strike since you have no radar in Hardcore mode, so you rely on sound and I guess vision a lot more. I'll have to check out the single player since I hear that's pretty awesome as well.
Anyway here's some artwork that I just finished up, it goes along with the piece below.
