2 06 2014 Miroslav Rudenko, member of Donetsk People's Republic government, and one of the leaders of People's Militia of Donbass (in Russian): "Tonight, approximately at 2am, there was an attempt to assassinate Pavel Gubarev. A car drove by the Universitetskaya Street, people came out of the car and launched a grenade towards the ninth floor, which is occupied by the People's Militia of Donbass and the Novorossiya socio-political movement."
Miroslav Rudenko (in Russian): "This attempted assassination has not affected his determination to continue the struggle."
Miroslav Rudenko (in Russian): "The junta is intensifying its provocative actions. They continue to provide direct military pressure in the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as taking an active part in sabotage actions and psychological pressure."
Miroslav Rudenko, a member of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic government, commented on the reported attempted assassination of People's Governor Pavel Gubarev, in Donetsk on Monday.
Rudenko said that the attempt had taken place at 2 AM Monday, with a group of people launching a grenade at the ninth floor of the city administration building, currently occupied by militia fighters.
He added that the assault had not weakened the governor's will to struggle, and accused the Kiev government of taking part in "sabotage actions" and of applying psychological and military pressure.
