I received my questions from
l0stmyrel1g10n ❶ Do you wanna date my avatar?
Yes. Can I take her to Homecoming? It's next Saturday and I'm kind of tired of going stag. ;3
❷ What's your favorite pair of socks?
Technically they're footwarmers. But they're still awesome. They were a present from an amazing person. You know who you are. <3
Not my legs, btw
❸ What is the Ultimate Question to the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything?
4.2*10^1
Yay math geekiness! 8D
❹ Who composed the soundtrack to your life?
Fucking Jonathan Larson, yo. He made RENT. Which is constantly in my head. And I almost constantly am playing it. And identify a song to whatever situation I'm in. No one should be surprised by now.
❺ What's your least favorite fandom pairing you've ever encountered?
Hm. There are a lot. I suppose it depends on fandom. But since most of my LJ friends I met through something Star Trek related, I'll stick with that.
...There are so many cracktastic pairings for that, though.
I guess Spock/Uhura. And the more I think of this pairing, the more it bothers me, for several reasons, and no, it's not cause it's not slash.
Spock was a teacher. Uhura was his student. Love or not, I don't care, I can't see Spock dating a student. He wouldn't. And I just don't see the chemistry. Watching them it just doesn't click. And the whole relationship undermines Uhura's character. I wanted to see more of her being a BAMF, not her being the girlfriend of a main male character.
The biggest issue is the transfer scene. It made both characters look bad. Uhura looked like she was taking advantage of her relationship. You could say Spock put her down because they were in the relationship, I suppose, but that makes Spock look bad too. Then there was the fact that he caved in so easily. Uhura may be a BAMF, but dammit, it's Spock.
I could go on, but I'm only half-awake right now.
And just to say it again, I don't hate the pairing cause it gets in the way of another. Example, I ship K/S and K/B, even though (ignoring OT3s) they technically would get in the way of each other.
Also, quick edit on last question, just realized it said fanon specifically. Canon wank okay? D:
