The End of an Era Comes
Well, if I don't hear from the ones I sent resume to soon I will have to start the move process in a couple of weeks. The shop will stop operations in the middle of August and the packing and shipping will happen over the two weeks when the office closes August 31. They expect me to start work on September 1which means I need to be moved into the Kansas City area before then. I have lived here for 26 years and it will be like leaving home. BUT looking at what is being offered as in pay to some of these job postings I will have to admit that staying with this job that is paying so well just might have to be the wiser thing to do. I'm not married and have no family up here in Washington State. I have few friends in the area and some who are only a "friend" when they happen to be in front of me. My family is all in the Mississippi area and that puts me a one day drive from them. So I've about talked myself into going ahead and moving.
